Ergo Baby Infant Insert

I found out about this AMAZING baby carrier a little too late. It's not like other carriers out there that hurt your back after fifteen minutes. A toddler can easily be carried for a long amount of time.

Now Ergo Baby has come out with a new and improved infant insert that allows you to carry your newborn in a "tummy-to-tummy" position which supports the pelvis, hip joints, and legs rather than little legs hanging down. The infant insert is $25 or it is available in organic material for $38.

Rose Petal Canopy!

I might just have to get this beautiful canopy for my daughter's room. It would go perfectly once her crib is converted to her toddler bed, although I am hoping that won't be for a while :)
The rose petal canopy is from Pottery Barn Kids and retails for $99. I think it is very universal and could be used in many little girl's rooms in the pink and green. It is an adorable take on the tradition canopy with the upside down flower petals! Super cute!

Unfortunately, tomorrow I will be working till 1:00pm and will probably throw a sorry batch of pre-made dough into the oven between finishing last minute preparations and entertaining a toddler. Poor Santa, I'm sure he would enjoy these cupcakes much more.

It seems you can never have too much storage, at least in my house.

With Christmas comes presents- toys, toys, and more toys! I am beginning to wonder where all these new toys are going to go and quite frankly, I'm a little scared. I like things put away at the end of the day and only wish I had a big built-in unit(with doors!) that everything could be stored in. This all white nursery, in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, is elegant, calming, and very sophisticated. I love the little pops of purple in the rug and gorgeous chair that is completely unexpected in a nursery. The dark espresso wood on the crib gives a little pop and definition to the room. I Want an Omni Hook!

I am a stroller mom all the way! Not Your Typical Pink or Blue Nursery

When I found out I was having a little girl, I was ecstatic to say the least. I had always dreamed of having my little girly girl. Of course my mind went straight to designing her room but the thought of a pink room personally made me cringe. I am not a huge pink fan, although I have gotten much better and realize I prefer a hot pink for my daughter. I decided to design her room in green with pink accents which turned out beautiful.

Designers and families are starting to take a new, creative, and bold approach in creating a special room for babies. FINALLY, someone else realized pink and blue are not the only colors for babies. We are starting to see more modern color schemes which include gray, orange, yellow, brown, black, and different shades of purple. Here are a few of my favorites!
